Customers warned to check where online goods coming from

Consumers are being urged to check where their online goods are coming from, even if they buy from an Irish website.

The new EU customs charges have been widely reported on ahead of today’s enforcement date.

All items under €150 coming into the country from non-EU countries will face a €3 customs charge.

Some people call it the “Temu Tax” as the EU aims to reduce the number of cheap Chinese goods flooding the european market.
